SEO for UK service businesses
SEO built around searches that can become real business.
We improve your website, Google Business Profile and organic visibility as one system—so the right customers can find you, understand why you are worth choosing and contact you directly.
The starting point
More traffic is not automatically the answer
SEO is commercially useful when there is relevant demand, the business can serve it profitably and the website gives the visitor a convincing next step. Without those conditions, higher rankings can become an expensive vanity project.
Before recommending monthly work, we look at the search market, your current visibility, the strength of competing businesses, the value of the services being targeted and whether your website is capable of converting the opportunity.
- Which services and locations could realistically produce worthwhile enquiries?
- Is the problem visibility, conversion, positioning—or a mixture?
- Does the website need improvement before ongoing SEO makes sense?
- Would focused £197 SEO, full £347 SEO or GBP-only management be proportionate?

What managed SEO involves
One joined-up system, not a bag of monthly tasks
The exact work changes with the opportunity. Every action should have a reason connected to relevance, trust, visibility or conversion.
Search opportunity
We identify the services, locations and questions with realistic commercial value—then decide what deserves priority.
Website improvement
Page structure, titles, copy, internal links, trust signals and calls to action are improved rather than treated as somebody else’s problem.
Google Business Profile
Categories, services, content, photos, Q&A and ongoing checks strengthen the business’s local search presence. Profile management details →
Service and location content
Useful pages are developed for genuine services and coverage areas without mass-producing near-identical location copy.
Authority and trust
Reviews, citations, relevant links, credentials and real-world evidence help search engines and customers judge the business more confidently.
Measurement and decisions
We review queries, pages, rankings, profile visibility and enquiries to decide what is improving and where effort belongs next.
Straightforward pricing
£197–£347 per month, based on the work the market requires
A focused oven cleaner targeting one modest area should not automatically pay the same as a multi-service company competing across a county. We assess the scope before recommending the level.
GBP Management
£95 / monthFor a business with a sound website where the clearest opportunity is improving Google Maps visibility and profile consistency.
- Profile optimisation and checks
- Posts, services and photo updates
- Review monitoring and responses
- Profile performance review
Focused SEO
£197 / monthFor lower-competition niches or tightly defined service areas where a smaller, disciplined campaign is commercially proportionate.
- Initial setup from £197
- Website and profile priorities
- Focused service/location improvements
- Ongoing monitoring and refinement
Full SEO
£347 / monthFor competitive trades, multiple profitable services or wider coverage requiring more frequent content and website development.
- One-off setup from £197
- Website and Google Profile strategy
- Service and location content
- Internal linking and technical work
- Authority, review and visibility development
What determines the price? Competition, geographic coverage, number of services, condition of the existing website and the amount of content or technical work required. The lower price is not a teaser rate: it is for campaigns where a narrower scope is genuinely sufficient.
Evidence before promises
Real businesses in six different search markets

When SEO is—and is not—the right investment
A strong fit
- Customers already search for the services you sell
- The work has enough value and margin to repay acquisition
- You have capacity for more of the right enquiries
- Your service and reputation can withstand closer scrutiny
- You want an asset that develops over time
Possibly not yet
- You need a flood of leads next week
- The offer, pricing or target customer is still unclear
- The website actively undermines trust and needs rebuilding first
- There is no capacity to answer or fulfil additional enquiries
- The search opportunity is too small to justify the monthly cost
If the obstacle extends beyond visibility, our Business Growth Advisory route can help clarify pricing, positioning, conversion or capacity before more is invested in marketing.
Organic visibility and paid advertising
SEO builds an asset. Advertising buys immediate access.
They are different tools. The right choice depends on how quickly demand is needed and whether you want to keep paying for every visit.
Paid search
Useful when speed, testing or short-term capacity matters.
- Visibility can begin quickly
- Every click or lead has a continuing cost
- Competitive markets can become expensive
- Traffic stops when spending stops
Organic search
Slower to build, but the underlying assets belong to the business.
- Website content and authority can compound
- Customers contact the business directly
- Reviews and local relevance keep creating trust
- Strong visibility can continue without paying per click
Our position: advertising is not automatically wasteful, and SEO is not automatically right. We specialise in organic growth because it reduces long-term dependency when the market, margins and timescale support it.
Sector-specific SEO
Start with the page closest to your market
The fundamentals remain consistent, but the search behaviour, job values, proof and competitive landscape vary substantially by sector.
How the work starts
Understand first. Price the real scope. Then implement.
Initial assessment
We look at the website, service area, visible competitors and current search position before recommending a package.
Setup and priorities
The starting position is documented and the first technical, website and Google Profile priorities are agreed.
Monthly delivery
Work is completed according to the opportunity—not padded with generic activity to make a report look busy.
Review and adjust
Queries, pages, visibility and enquiries guide what is improved next as the market and campaign develop.

Straight answers
Before you invest in SEO
Why does SEO cost between £197 and £347 per month?
The work required varies. A lower-competition niche targeting one main service in a modest area may need a tightly focused campaign. A competitive trade, multiple services or broad geographic coverage requires more page development, content and ongoing work. We assess the scope rather than charging every business the same figure.
How long will SEO take?
There is no honest universal timescale. The age and condition of the website, competitors, locations, reviews and existing authority all matter. Early movement may appear within weeks, but meaningful and more stable gains generally require months of consistent work.
Can you guarantee number one on Google?
No. Google controls its results, and rankings vary by location, device and time. We can assess the opportunity, complete the agreed work, track progress and show documented results achieved elsewhere. We cannot responsibly guarantee a specific position.
Will this help with ChatGPT and AI search?
Strong, structured website content, clear services, genuine expertise, reviews and consistent business information can also help AI systems understand and evaluate a company. However, no agency controls whether an AI product mentions a business, so we build the underlying evidence rather than selling guaranteed AI recommendations.
Do I need a new website first?
Not automatically. If the current website is technically sound and communicates the business well, we build on it. If it is slow, unclear, difficult to expand or damaging conversion, we will recommend improvement or a rebuild before asking SEO to send more visitors to it. New websites start from £595.
Is there a long contract?
No minimum SEO term is used; ongoing work can be cancelled with 30 days’ notice. We still explain that SEO needs time to generate meaningful evidence and should not be started as a one-month experiment.
About the results shown: rankings, ratings and review counts are recorded case-study snapshots. Search performance varies by business, market, location, device and time. Past performance is evidence of relevant experience, not a guarantee of another company’s outcome.
Start with an honest assessment
Is there enough search opportunity to make SEO worthwhile?
Send David your website, most valuable service and target area. We will take a first look at the market and tell you whether focused SEO, full SEO, GBP management or website work appears to be the sensible next step.
No generic audit. No obligation. No automatic recommendation for the highest-priced option.
