2. Services
Local Edge Digital provides web design, website management, hosting, branding, local SEO, and other digital marketing services to businesses in the United Kingdom.
All services are subject to a written agreement or proposal between Local Edge Digital and the client. Any changes to the scope of services must be agreed upon in writing.
3. Payment Terms
Payment terms will be outlined in your individual service agreement or invoice.
Unless otherwise agreed, all invoices are payable within 14 days of the invoice date.
Late payments may incur interest charges under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
Services may be paused or terminated for non-payment.
4. Client Responsibilities
You agree to:
Provide accurate and complete information as needed for us to deliver services
Respond to communication in a timely manner
Make payments as agreed
You are responsible for the content you provide, including any images, text, or data. You must ensure you have the rights or licenses to use any materials submitted to us.
5. Intellectual Property
All websites, code, graphics, and written content created by Local Edge Digital remain the intellectual property of Local Edge Digital until full payment is received.
Upon full payment, ownership of the final deliverables will transfer to the client, excluding any third-party assets (e.g. plugins, stock photos) which are subject to their respective licenses.
We reserve the right to showcase completed work in our portfolio, unless explicitly agreed otherwise in writing.
6. Hosting and Website Maintenance
If you use our managed hosting and website care services:
We aim to provide 99.9% uptime and regular maintenance, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service.
We will take regular backups and apply security updates; however, we are not liable for loss of data or service interruption beyond our reasonable control.
You are responsible for keeping login credentials safe.
7. SEO and Marketing Disclaimer
We will always follow best practices and apply strategies designed to improve your search rankings and visibility. However, we do not guarantee specific rankings, traffic volumes, or results, as these depend on multiple factors outside our control (e.g. competition, algorithm changes, client content quality).
8. Termination
Either party may terminate services with written notice. Where applicable:
Any outstanding payments will become due immediately.
Access to hosting, website files, or ongoing services may be removed upon termination.
No refunds will be issued for services already delivered or for monthly services that have commenced.
9. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Local Edge Digital shall not be liable for:
Loss of revenue, profits, or business
Indirect or consequential damages
Any content or changes made by the client or third parties after launch
Our total liability is limited to the amount paid by the client for the specific service in question.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Any updates will be posted on this page. Continued use of our services constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
