Built by someone
who’s actually
done it.
18 years growing service businesses without paid ads. Local Edge Digital exists because the results were too good not to share.
I didn’t start as a marketer. I started as a business owner.
Before Local Edge Digital, I built and sold successful businesses in the cleaning and restoration sector. Not as a side project — as the primary income. Businesses that needed real customers, consistent bookings, and a phone that actually rang.
The difference between those businesses and most of the competition? I never relied on paid advertising to grow them. Every customer came through organic search, strong local rankings, and a Google Business Profile that competitors couldn’t touch. I learned, through years of real-world testing, exactly what moves the needle for a local service business — and what doesn’t.
“If I stop paying for ads, does everything stop? That’s not a business. That’s a dependency.”
That question haunted me every time I saw another trade business owner pumping money into Google Ads with no clear return. Escalating costs, no compounding value, no ownership of their own visibility. I knew there was a better way because I’d already built it — in my own businesses, across my own markets.
Local Edge Digital is the result of 18 years refining that approach, and the question I kept getting asked by other business owners: “How are you always at the top of Google?”
Built and sold service businesses
Cleaning and restoration businesses, grown from scratch and sold successfully. The same organic marketing strategies used to build those businesses are the foundation of everything Local Edge Digital does today.
Specialising in trades and service businesses
Not general digital marketing. Not e-commerce. Not corporate SEO. Specifically the local, trade and service business market — where Google Business Profile, map pack rankings, and reputation management are the real battlegrounds.
Organic growth over paid dependency
Every strategy, every system, every piece of content we produce is built around one principle — own your visibility rather than rent it. Organic rankings compound. Paid ads reset the moment you stop paying.
Most SEO agencies have never
run a service business.
That gap matters more than most business owners realise.
Three principles that
guide everything we do.
Own, don’t rent
Paid ads are a tap. Turn off the spend and the leads stop. Organic rankings, a strong GBP, and a growing review base are assets you own — they compound over time and don’t disappear when a budget runs out.
Specificity beats volume
One piece of content written specifically for your service area and your niche will outperform ten generic blog posts every time. We write for the customer who’s already looking for you — not for an algorithm that doesn’t book jobs.
Consistency is the strategy
The businesses that dominate local search aren’t the ones who did the most in month one. They’re the ones who showed up consistently for years — posting, responding, publishing, and collecting reviews while their competitors were distracted.
